Adjectives: position, gender and plural

Position: most adjectives come after the noun for example un chat noir (a black cat). There are some exceptions which are covered later.

Gender: most adjectives have an ‘e’ added to the end if they are used with a feminine noun, for example the polite boy would be le garçon poli but the polite girl would be la fille polie.

Plural: most adjectives have an ‘s’ added to the end if they are plural (in addition to the ‘e’ if they are also feminine), for example the polite boys would be les garçons polis and the polite girls would be les filles polies.
